Police Oral Board Interview Questions - One Important Question That You'll Be Asked

The police oral board interview is by far the toughest thing that you'll have to go through during the police hiring process. Many candidates, I mean many have straight up flunked the oral exam because of a lack of preparation. As a result I feel compelled to write this article containing sample interview questions that you should expect to hear from the interview panel.

Police Oral Board Sample Interview Question#1:

Question:

you are driving southbound on Main St., when you spot a driver disregard a red light. You immediately activate your light bar, and pursue after the traffic violator. When you exit your vehicle and approach the driver, you realized that the driver is your mother.

What will be your next course of action?

Answer:

This is a tough question, but the panel is looking to see if you are going to be honest. There is no right or wrong answer to this particular question, but honesty is the best policy here. The only thing that the panel want to see by asking this question is if you'll be straight up with them. So let's tackle this particular scenario question step by step. To put it simple, no police officer across the country or anywhere else for that matter will issue their own mother a citation. So don't tell the panel that you would without a doubt write your own mother a ticket because that's a bold face lie.

What the panel is really expecting to hear from you is that you would not write your mother a ticket. However, you would inform her not to run the red light anymore, and explain to here that she is putting you in a tough situation.
